New Album “Take It From The Top” and UK Tour!
Paul Lamb & The Detroit Breakdown is delighted to announce their fifth album release on 5 May 2014 through EE Records, distributed via Code7. As Paul says, “Take It From the Top” is a musical compilation of my first four albums. The songs selected for this collection are an amalgamation of the songs that have gotten the most radio spins and those that are the most requested live. The remastering was done by the illustrious Motown and United Sound engineer Ed Wolfrum. It is a joy to work with Ed. It is always a comprehensive education. His endless wealth of knowledge and experience is truly inspiring. I hope you enjoy listening to these tracks as much as I enjoyed recording them. So turn it up loud enough to rattle the dust off the chandelier and chase the birds from the trees! When you have listened to all the songs… Take it from the top! Enjoy!” The blues rock band will be returning to perform in the UK in May and June 2014, all dates below.
The line-up of Paul Lamb [guitar and vocals], Layla Hall [drums and BVs] and Joey Spina [bass and BVs] have cut their teeth performing hundreds of shows across the US, as well as playing Glastonbury and touring with Walter Trout, Peter Green and many others. They describe the shows as being characterized by “Searing positive energy”, as Classic Rock Presents The Blues magazine said, “It’s time to get funky and welcome the US guitarist with open arms”.
Bringing together tracks from Paul Lamb & The Detroit Breakdown’s first three albums – namely “Hangin’ On For Dear Life”, “Gunshot Lullaby” and “Tales From The Gravel” as well as a track from the “Sunrise From The Other Side” EP, “Take It From The Top” is a great primer that showcase what this band do best!
